Attorney Peter Zeliff
Peter Zeliff is known for winning criminal cases that seem unwinnable. He believes that every citizen deserves to be defended and protected by their constitutional rights and is committed to achieving the absolute best possible results for his clients. Whether it is a dismissal, a full acquittal in court, or a reduction in charges that his clients find fair and reasonable, Peter goes above and beyond to make certain that the law leans in favor of his clients. He graduated from Georgia State University College of Law in 1998, where he earned top honors for his advocacy skills in several Moot Court competitions.
After graduating law school, Peter learned the art of criminal defense in one of the best training grounds for defense attorneys – the DeKalb County Public Defender’s Office, where he worked from 1998 until 2002. He then worked at Head, Thomas, Webb and Willis for seven years, and subsequently launched his own practice, eventually partnering with Evan Watson in 2011 to form Zeliff | Watson.
Success and Recognition
Peter has earned the distinction of being named a Super Lawyer by his peers and is often seen on local and national news defending high-profile, high-stakes cases. But some of his greatest satisfaction comes from defending everyday people in his community who have been wrongfully accused of crimes and helping them regain their lives, their dignity, and their futures without the burden of a conviction or criminal record.
With more than 250 trials across all types of criminal cases, Peter has an impressive track record of achieving the best possible outcomes in both jury and bench trials.
